Hi all Gonna be heading up the range today and wondered if anyone had any good drills or practise techniques to use while I'm up there?

i'm fairly new to the game, and asked the same question.

a comon response was for me to play simulated holes with different clubs as if I was playing a round.

so, drive with whatever (Driver, 3,5wood,3,4iron) etc, then approach shot with whatever club, than chip with a wedge

repeat

it has helped me (I think)

RedSox has it right. When you go to the driving range you need to go out there with a purpose. If you're just hitting ball after ball without much thought you will not get anything out of it other than it being an exercise. So, by simulating holes you will have a target just as you would on the course and when you do this you should transition your game from the range to the course nicely.
