Have a a piece of crap set for a few years. Have golfed probably 10-15 times with those in that time and have recently been more into it. Still pretty dam close to awful. After my pw head flying off at the range the other day and now that I get half off with my job, I think its time for a non embarrassing set. Would like to buy used. Can I get some links to some exacts sets please. Looking to spend the least amount possible. Have been looking at the used club sites just don't know one from the other.

Thanks! James

Think I'm going to go with the ping g2 iron sets, found them for a little of 200 shipped. Now for the driver and putter, I'm lost and don't know what to look for. May go for a 3 wood instead of a driver since I struggle with drivers. Any recommendations?

Putter - Get a PING Anser 2.  It is the most classic most copied model ever.  It is a good one to learn with, I still have mine at home.  plus they are so plentaful, you can find them for $40 bucks.

I'm partial to any cavity-backed irons that make this game easier to play.  I really like Ping and Callaway irons, but I'm probably more partial to the Callaway RazrX (at the moment).  I suggest going to a local golf shop and giving them a try and compare them to Pings.  Sometimes I wish playing golf was always as much fun as shopping for new golf stuff!

Driver:  Callaway Diablo Octane iMix 11.5*
Fairway: Cobra Baffler Rail F 3W & 7W
Irons:  Wilson Ci
Wedges:  Acer XB (52* & 56*)
Putter:  Cleveland Classic #10 with Winn Jumbo Pistol Grip

If they are in good shape and you like them, go for it.
