Rain gloves ?

I have always had good success with FootJoy rain gloves but they often tear in the palm area of my left hand. I was wondering if anyone has ever used the "receiver gloves" foot players have started using to make catches. First since they have a tackiness would they be legal... foreign substance? I am asking not because I expect rain but also because I sweat pretty heavily during the summer heat. I also thought the receiver gloves might be more durable. Any thoughts or suggestions?

So I initially clicked on this post because playing golf in Bay Area often means getting wet and I was hoping to get so insight to rain golf gloves. However, after a google search I realize that you can buy golf gloves that are built to withstand rain. On another note, I played football (and baseball) in college and I can tell you that a receiver glove may be the last thing you want. The gloves have a rubbery/waxy inside that would seem to leave to some sort of death grip on a club. On the flip side, a baseball batting glove may be more what your looking for. They are primarily leather and tend to have have much more ventilation built in even though the leather is much, much thicker. Hope this provides some help. Coop

Thanks. Sounds like the receiver gloves are definite no.

Probably could give the batting gloves a try...

but if they are too padded that probably would be a negative.

Guess I stock up on Rain Gloves by Footjoy.

I substituted my BMX gloves a couple of times when my golf gloves ripped. Although the padding on the knuckles was useless, they were comfy and had durable leather on the palm. I would just stick with the rain gloves made by golf companies, and get a few to swap out.

I bought the Foot Joy  rain gloves from Edwin Watts yesterday. $19.99 for a right and left handed gloves set. They are not designed to keep your hands warm. They do not keep your hands dry. However, my wet grips did not slip in my hands during my entire round. They do exactly what they were intended to do. If I did not have these gloves, the club would slip and my round would be dismal.

I love my Mizuno Raingrip gloves.  They fit just like normal golf gloves but have a much tackier surface on the palm.
