I played a round yesterday and really it was so-so
But the one thing that was on was my short game!!!!!!
I was killing it with my bb 06 sand wedge.
Now I'm kind of looking into a lob wedge.
I'm about a 25 hp now but hopeful that will be going down soon.
What do you guys think???

Killing it how? Sending it too far with a sand wedge? What are the lofts on your PW, GW, and SW (or the subset of which that you carry)? General advice is to keep wedge lofts roughly evenly spaced. That's what my pro told me and that's what I keep seeing on this board.

No killing it meaning I was doing very well.

I've always considered my SW, just that, something for the sand. If you hit it well with that much bounce, maybe you should look at a higher bounce wedge.

I have a buddy stationed in Cheyenne. Haven't been there yet though.

really? I seem to hit it very well, with a high trajectery.
will a lower bouce make it that much easier???
I'm not sure Exactly how bounce works.
And yeah cheyenne isn't exactly set up for golf :(

ive heard several times people say stuff like u shouldnt always carry a lob wedge, or its just a "show-off" club. i think its crap, i love my lob wedge, from 70yrds and in its almost all i use, its great out of the bunker to a quick and tight pin too. the only 60 ive owned is the callaway xtour 60, with the pm grind:great wedge, but not really for a 25handicap i dont think(not very good on mishits). maybe try a cleveland wedge like the cg-11, it should be forgiving and nice. good luck
