Never had my swing measured, completely self taught, I play tm burner hts with a stiff shaft, I hit a 7 iron around 140, just wondering if i would benefit from a regular shaft, I feel like i have a slow swing. just wondering if a regular shaft would give me more distance.  Any help would be appreciated.

It would really help to have more information than that, such a your swing speed with the driver.  However, with that limited amount of info, a regular shaft may benefit you.  I hit 7 iron 150 and by all measurements I'm right in between regular and stiff... considering you hit your 7 iron 140 I guess you swing just a bit slower than me so regular sounds about right.  I've always been told that if you are between flexes, go stiffer for more control and flexier (not sure that's a word) for more distance.

Another factor to consider is your ball flight. This can be affected by the "kick" in the shaft, High kick, medium kick and low kick. typicaly, the lower the kick the higher the ball flight, I used to have a very high ball flight which cost me a lot of distance and had little to no roll out in the fairway, I changed to a mid kick shaft and gained probably 30+ yds.

I have a low to medium ball flight, I shoot in the 80s just think I would score much better if I could hit a 8 iron 150 instead of a 6 iron, gonna give some regular shafts a go next and see how they feel.

You really should go to a local golf store or club fitter and have your swing speed measured.  I had mine done at Golf Galaxy prior to purchasing a hybrid and I needed a regular flex.  Also, I hit a 7i 150 yds comfortably.
