Standing On The Other Side of the Ball...

Just curious if anyone has ever done this. While hitting balls tonight and practicing Erik's hit and stop drill I became frustrated and decided to swing from the right side. Two things I noticed immediately, 1. The set-up had my hands slightly in front of the ball with a nice angle in the shaft and 2. I could do the hit and stop drill perfect, it just felt like I was back-handing the ball every time. Nice divots starting at the ball and keeping the flying wedge seemed fairly simple. I'm just curious why standing on the other side of the ball changes the appearance of the set-up so much from my Point of View. Does it have more to do with dominant eyes or is that just an old wives tale...

Yes... I'm just curious how much a dominate eye plays a part in the golf swing if any at all.
