Cobra S3 Pro Forged-M iron

A few months back I posted a thread about the Cleveland TA7 irons that I had just purchased. Well, it wasn't long before I sold them to my roommate and began playing my old Titleist AP2's again. I loved the irons (TA7's). Feel was great, but they were just too thick for my taste. I have always preferred the look and feel of a players iron. After a few months back with the AP2's, I decided I wanted to once again try something different. I would consider myself a "digger", so I wanted something that would cut through the ground better than my AP2's. Now that I am playing a lot of golf again, it only made sense that I look at a set of blades.....since that is what I prefer (wish I had kept my Titleist 695 MB's).

I went to the local PGA Superstore and tried a few different irons sets. The final two sets that it came down to were the Taylormade MB's and the Cobra S3 Pro Forged combo set. After a tiring session in the simulator, I decided to go with the Cobra's. They have an amazing feel and look to them. I especially love the short irons being blades.

After a few weeks of playing the combo set, I realized that I was hitting the 7-PW much better than the 3-6 irons. Obviously long irons are more difficult to play, but I felt like I was having the same issue with the CB's that I was having with my AP2's. They weren't cutting through the ground well. I decided to order 3-6 in the blades and went direct through Cobra. They had them to me very quickly and I haven't looked back. I love the long irons as much as the short irons now. I love the workability and trajectory control with these irons more so than any other iron I have ever played. I am finally satisfied with a set of irons.

If anyone is considering a set of blades at the moment, definitely look in to these! Feel free to ask any questions about them. I have a lot of practice and play time with them.

I love the feel of cobras. They all seem to hit solid. It gives a 'soft' feel, i guess.

They are definitely the best feeling iron I have hit. Like you said, they have a very soft feel to them.
