any different companies or different grips? prefer something not too soft and mushy but not incredibly hard that they vibrate like crazy. i still want feedback on my forged bad boys.

Any ideas?

bought new irons and part way through the season i realized the factory installed lamkin crosslines in standard size are too small and need to either build up or by mids. Have had some pretty intense pain sore spots build up. Just incredibly confused on which direction in terms of companies. I like the lamkins but have read around that they are a bit too grippy and tear the hands up...also like the lamkin crossline cords but am afraid they are too going to tear my hands up. Recently bought a three wood and like the already installed black widow tour silk, that im very interested in but am afraid of how it will wear. or other black widow grips for that matter. Also interested in pure grips because of their ability to remain pretty much the same from brand new to 4 months later. and ease of installation/replacement.

Any grip whatsoever will work though. love ideas

thanks

I'd recommend Golf Pride Tour Velvet, as they seem to have the perfect balance of softness.  Before I bought my newest set of irons last year I made sure to have these grips on there.  Lamkins can be a bit rough, I agree, but I also see your point with being too soft.  Winn, for example, feels great, and I wish they held up better, but they just don't.  So I'd say if you want the best of both worlds, go for Golf Pride.  From what I understand they're very customizable too.  Good luck!

None better IMHO.

pure pro looks great. might be a little too firm but i like the texture design. Only issue is id need a standard. I emailed puregrips website and they said i should stick with the standards and build them up due to how easy it is to remove their grips but im a little unsure of my ability to do so. They also mentioned in there response that colors in different grips are going to be introduced sometime in either end of august or september? i think? either way id love to pull the trigger just not sure which to pull on

They are super easy to install, if you can put air in your tires you can install/uninstall these grips with ease.  I have smaller hands, so I used the standard size with one wrap of blue painters tape.  On my sand and lob wedge, I have 4 wraps.

Don't let the "firm" fool you.  I used to use Winn Excel Soft grips, too many years of heavy impact hammer usage has taken it's toll on my poor ol' hands.  I have the PURE Pro's and they are wonderful.  I have yet to have a complaint about them.  Sticky, but not squishy.  Firm yes, but not harsh or punishing.  Based on the quality of them, I don't think you can go wrong with any of their models.

Wes Brasher is the founder of the company, and little did I know he lives just down the road (next town south) of where I work, although is is usually on the road or in Arizona where they are based.  I have dealt with Wes personally, and he is a great guy running a great American company.  Yes, they are made in the USA!  If that's not reason enough alone to try them, I don't know what is!
