Well I went to a all par 3 course and well didn't make par once. Got a single boogey but that's the closest. I have some hand me down tour collection 740 an older tm bubble driver. I just bought 2 used 5 and 3 woods (tm v steel and mizuno mp.001). I'm looking for new set of irons. Easy for me to learn on and hit well. Obviosly clubs are not the only part of the game its all pratice. Just wondering if someone could recommend me a set used for no higher then 200.00? Thanks fellas.

as im from the uk i dont know what equivalent prices are for you but i reckon you could pick up a set of taylormade RAC OS irons for that and you wont go far wrong with a set of them in the bag.

As a beginner, your best best is to purchase a matched set.  Usually sold with bag, driver, 3 wood irons and putter.

These are readily available for $170 to $250

go to www.rockbottomgolf.com and select Clubs, Complete sets.  You will find some in your price range.
