Also what is with the RBZ? It looks like an entry level driver within the TM family? Glued in with no way to adjust the loft or lie.

RBZ seems to be adjustable

I like the look of those irons.  I might have to rethink my planned diablo edge purchase.

pictures of the 460cc R11s are floating around now. it has 5 face angle options (neutral, open, open+, closed, closed+).

Nice pic of the R11s

It's going to be 460 and the sole plate now has 5 postions

Some good info here HERE of the new stuff.  Most interesting is the RBZ 3-wood with a slot on the sole, similar to the Adams fairway woods

*****************_t640.jpg

"Dr. Benoit Vincent, TaylorMade's chief technical officer, explained the slot was positioned in the sole because it is an area that is normally not very flexible due to the amount of weight positioned there. The other benefit, he said, is that golfers tend to make contact with fairway woods and hybrids low on the face. Placing the slot in the sole adds speed to those shots."

Here's a video review for the RBZ driver

Two versions of the driver are available. The standard model features a larger appearance at address with a standard face height and a slight draw bias while the tour model appears slightly smaller with a deeper face and a neutral face angle. Lofts are 9, 10.5 and 13 degrees on the standard model and 9 and 10.5 degrees on RocketBallz Tour.

And Irons.  Two models the RBZ and RBZ Max

I'm generally a fan of lime green, but I'm not sure I like it much here. Then again, that RBZ fairway looks awesome.

Very funny with the squirrel rocket balls. I hear TM is releasing two new balls target date Feb 1st 2012. TM has had lots of success with drivers, woods, and irons; hasn't translated yet with the golf balls, getting closer though.

With all the possible adjustments on that driver, I can just see certain people taking 15 minutes to tee off because they have to get the driver perfect for the hole they are on.

Agree, very similar design, even the finish, black around the face, is similar.

Overall not a huge departure from the last couple years, just some different graphics and re-branding.  Which when you're as dominant as TMAG is not a bad strategy for the next couple years.  Great to see all driver are going to adjustable and the RBZ fairways look good.

BTW I'll be going to a Taylormade media day Wednesday to check out and hit the new stuff in person

If you guys have any questions that you want me to ask, post it here

I want to know if when they talk about them they say "RBZ" or "Rocketballz"....I would hope RBZ - otherwise how can anyone take them seriously.

Is the RBZ slotted fairway wood, the 3W club that was reported as ungodly long? As in Dustin hit it 300+ off the deck?? I would like more info on that specific club.

Yes that's it.  Distance increases are going to be seen through a couple different additions.  With steel your limited with how thin you can make the face, can't get to the COR limit as well as higher lofts compared to drivers don't allow for it.  Also fairway woods have very low COG to get the ball in the air makes the sole "stiff" and gives it no flexibility.  TMAG is calling it a "speed slot" and I think it's much deeper than the Adams F11 has, also deeper face to allow for a deeper pocket.  It's about creating a "spring" like effect to increase ball speed.  They are also moving the cog more forward, towards the face to increase ball speed.  TMAG is boosting you can hit it 17 yards further.  Probably have to have a driver speed around 105 though to see that kind of change, but really cool stuff.

SICK.  I don't know how anyone on this board wouldn't be interested in this new RBZ 3W.

MVMAC, what is the loft of the 3W?  That is something I haven't been able to find.

the woods will come in three lofts: 13, 14.5, 18. stock shaft is Matrix Ozik RUL 70 75-gram in X, S, and R. there will be a TP version with 25 shaft offerings. those lofts are significantly stronger than last years burner models, which came in at 15, 17, 18, and 21.
