I'm no fitting pro so i'm asking all of you.

I hit a 9.5 taylormade TP burner. I hit this driver really high. I'm not complaining, i still get the ball out there a good way. about 275+ every drive. I  want to get a new driver but I not sure what loft to get. I've been debating am 8.5 but i don't know how the degree loft effects the spin. I have a proforce V2 X flex in my driver now, Probably get the same in my new club.

My question is does more loft add more spin, or less loft add more spin. My drive now is basically all carry thats not all bad but I would like to lower the angle of decent.

I'm just asking... I know that only way to really know is to get on a launch monitor and I will just wanting to be educated when i go to get fitted

Higher lofted club = more back spin and less side spin.  Consequently, lower lofted club = less back spin and more side spin.

Personally I'd give an 8.5* a shot. I've been playing with drivers for the past decade with anywhere between 7* and 8.5* of loft. Granted, I have a rather upright swing and above average SS, so I tend to spin the crap out of the ball. If you are hitting the ball 275+, but feel the ball flight tends to balloon on you, I'd stick that V2 X in an 8.5* and give it a rip.

Thats what i was thinking, thanks guys. I with you on the upright swing, I'm 6'4" with swing speed of about 112. I'm guessing i'm gonna try out an 8.5. If anyone has a suggestion on a different low spin shaft. I'm all ears
