Yeah, in the end some of us may not want to admit it but brand is important. Whether it's warranted or not. What I'd like to hear is why certain people prefer a certain brand.

i tend to lean towards callaway for some reason. no idea why.

i guess it goes along with like the childhood sports teams u just kinda grow up drawn towards a team so thats who you support. ive always enjoyed the products ive bought from callaway and i enjoy the look of thier clubs as opposed to others.

when i started playing golf i wanted nothing but callaway. after high school i found myself liking taylor made. i feel they put a lot of effort to make clubs to fit certain needs. i use RAC LTs right now and love the head design. ill probably use these until the end of the season and then go to a forged set.

I tend to go with Titleist products because they look and feel right to me.

I've realized that leaning toward one brand can be a big mistake. I was always a Nike guy. Probably from my basketball days when Nike had the best shoes! But after playing nothing but Nike drivers for that past 4 years I finally went to a proshop and demoed EVERY brand, with no bias. My own custom fit SQ was one of my least favorite I tried. I had bought it mostly because it has the swoosh on it! Now when I buy clubs I try not to even look at the brand. I just buy what feels right when I demo. It gives me a bit of a mixed bag but that's ok!
