srixon Q Star

Whos played the  Q Star? What did you like about it or didnt like? Im still trying to find "the" ball.How would it compare to the E6?

Personally, I prefer the Q-Star over the E6 - though they are very similar in performance and feel. Honestly, the easiest way to figure out if it is the ball for you is to just try it. I prefer Srixon in general over Bridgestone so I'm biased.

I only prefer Srixon because I've had some of my best rounds with Srixon balls and it becomes totally mental.

Performance wise they should be close to one another as they are both the same type of ball.  I've personally never used either one so I can't say which one I'd prefer but I would like to try the Q-Star out... Best way, as Spyder said, is to get some of both and try them for yourself.

I have not hit the E series ball by Bridgestone, so I can't compare the 2. But I can say that I really liked the Qstar. Very durable ball for one. Improved distance, but still had some green side softness. Played similar to the AD333 ball, but was a bit farther flying than the AD333. I played with the Tour Yellow version (as my first yellow ball) and I loved that aspect. Very easy to follow in the air and easy to spot on the ground. For the money, its definitely worth a try.

I played yesterday and used the yellow QStar ball.  I played my worst round of the year, but it was not the balls fault.  It started raining then pouring on the third hole.  Thirty MPH winds also added to the experience.  That being said, I did hit the green 3 times from about 160 with my five iron and the ball was within 3 feet of the pitch mark/crater each time.  The ball will hold the green pretty well on full approach shots.  For some reason I liked the AD333 better.  I will be trying out the Bridgestone E6 next time I get out.  I am curious as to how it would compare in terms of distance

I'm assuming its a fairly straight ball.Didn't know if it as long as the E6 or not? I would be willing to give up a little distance for a ball That's better around the green... I just currently need a little help with straightness off the driver.

Q stars hold greens much better than E6's. Similar distance off the tee for me, but with better spin. After trying a few Q stars, I hunted down some AD333's @ 2 dozen for $25 and they perform equally as good for half the price.

The Q-Star is softer and spinnier than the E6.  Basically, its like an E6 with a softer cover.  Ive played both and IMO the Q-Star is hands-down the better ball.

Srixon tri-speed or tri-speed Tour would be better than the "Q star" the Q star is only a two piece ball if Im not mistaken… ??

I have played both and find the Q-Star holds the green a "little" better than the e6 but that is not saying much.  They both are about the same distance and both lack spin.  Not impressed with either one.

i love q stars but they dont hold greens to save there lives off the tees they help me out a ton i hit alot more fairways with the q star anyone got a good inbetween best of both worlds on greens and tees

Q stars fly straight and hold greens okay, for players trying to push into 5 or below index territory this probably isn't the best all around ball but could still probably perform well enough.

Q stars are great game improvement balls they keep you motivated when getting off the tees

Love them. Cheap, great feel and good looking.  They are my home course "ball" so I find at least 3-4 per round !

i never find q stars i always find pro v ones and end up donating them back with a bad drive
