Every club I have ever belonged to (and I have belonged to a number of them) puts labels on automatically. The only complaint I ever heard was from my wife. She was offended that hers said Mrs. John Doe (as opposed to her given name).

Is your name John Doe?

Yours in earnest, Jason.
Call me Ernest, or EJ or Ernie.

Same for my club. They automatically label all my clubs with my name and the phone number of the pro shop.

Why is that "not cool"?
