The Legends Resort in MB is a great place to saty during a MB golf trip. There are three courses on site at the Legends Resort: Heathland, Moorland and Parkland. I would not put them in my top 5 MB courses, but definitely in the top 20 (out of 100 courses there). They are a great value as the green fees are lower than the other top MB courses. My favorite of the three is Moorland, followed closely by Heathland. Moorland is a PB Dye course and has a lot of interesting features. It's not a course for high handoica[ppers, but fine for mid  and low cappers. Heathland is  Tom Doak course and is the easist of the three. Legends also operates two very good courses not on site. Heritage is a beautiful "Low Countryt" style layout abourt 30 minutes to the south and Oyster Bay is a fun Marshland course locaated about 30 minutes to the North. All 5 courses are worth playing and you can get great packages with low prices for lodging, accomodations, breakfast and lunch. The condos at legends are nice, spacious and clean but not luxurious. They have a huge practice area on site that is lit at night. They also have a pub oin site which has decent food and friendly ambiance. The only negative about Legends is that becayuse they have such good deals the courses are croded during peak season and have slow pace of play sometimes making it difficult to get in 36 holes a day. I'd suggest either calling legenbds directly or booking a pacjkage through Brian Noblin at Myrtle Beach Golf Desk. You can find Brian's site on line. He is reputable, provides great service and prices.

I think March is a great time to go to MB for golf, especially if you are from north of their and it's still too cold to play at home. The weather is better in April and May, but the courses are less crowded in March. In March you can have a morning frost delay once in a while, but the temps are uslyy in theb 40's at dawn and hit the mid 60's at noon. Perfect golf weather. Prime season (and highest green fees usually begins the day after we move the clocks ahead, so I often go the week before that (first 10 days of March).  You can get better values in Summer and Winter, but the Summer is very hot and humid and MB is crowded with beach-goers. Not the best time for golf unless you play very early in the morning. Winter can get pretty chilly in MB but golf is at bargain prices.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
