Hey guys, I could really use some recommendations for a hotel to stay at out in Palm Desert/Palm Springs… I haven't been to Palm Springs since I was a child, so Im not familiar with the area or the hotels out there. I have a big tournament out there in December (Tournament of Club Champions) and I need to get a hotel room for a few days. I saw there was a Westin hotel out there, and although I LOVE Westin hotels, Im not sure its going to be in my budget, especially since its for a couple days. I want something nice and affordable, but not necessarily "cheap." No motel 8's or any of those other 3 star hotels. I gotta start planning this trip asap! Thanks in advance!

I can recommend the La Quinta Resort and the Indian Wells Resort. What I love about The Deserts, besides all the top rank golf courses of course, are those gnarly jagged rock mountains. La Quinta is right up on those suckers! They have cool bungalo style rooms as well. Not a big multi-story hotel.

The only problem is that December is pretty much prime time in The Desert, so I'm sure prices will be a little higher that time of year.
