I recently purchased a dyna-flex gyro powerball from Amazon. Prior to purchasing it, I did get a chance to try it out at a local BIG-5 store. They had a powerball and the docking station for display and use to customers right in front of their cash register. I tried it out and all of my skepticism quickly went away. Let me tell you, I have a ton of joint issues from weight lifting like wrist tendonitis, tennis elbow from swinging and rotator cuff soreness. My first impression was how much torque this little thing produces. It was as if the ball was trying to free itself from my grasp but when I held it and rotated my wrist, it helped created enough tension where my muscles were being put into play. I ended up not purchasing the item but when I drove home I suddenly realized that my wrist felt better and my natural range of motion in my wrist was coming back whereas before I couldn’t without some sort of soreness or tightness in my wrist.

After looking at other great reviews online I decided to give it a shot and bought it off Amazon. Every day I’d do a variety of arm motions with the powerball gyro spinning in my hand and after about a week my tennis elbow pain decreased dramatically, my rotator cuff felt a lot better but what felt the best was my wrist having its range of motion back. Swinging at the golf course and jerking movements feels better and ever since I have owned the powerball, my wrist never felt better. I highly recommend this product not just as a rehab tool but to prevent injuries in the future by strengthening the muscles that the powerball emphasizes.

I also believe they also sell a Tourgrip that does the same thing as the powerball but with a golf club grip so you can improve your grip and precision. I'll be checking that out next. If anyones interested, I'll write a review once I purchase it.

Bump and 3 posts? How do we know you aren't writing for the company? This product, though in concept seems good has many negative reviews as to it's quality. Sounds like the competing product is more durable.

To be fair, you're the one who bumped a post from 2011.

    • I was hoping to see the data on all the shots. Not just carry and total distance, but all of the stuff you see on a simulator. It should be on the TV screen like you see relevant data for a football game. A couple of the approach shots they didn't even state the distance to the pin. I think that would probably be something they add as time goes on as they get feedback. I was surprised the camera didn't zoom in on wives and children, unless I missed it. I didn't watch the last 3 holes. I guess they weren't going for a family vibe. I will watch again, but with less anticipation. It was a Tuesday night and the weather sucks.
    • I wouldn't mind getting a Jupiter hat since I live down here, plus it's Tiger's team. I enjoyed how much faster it was, as well as the grass tees. I'm looking forward to Tiger's first match next week. Shame, it looks like the entire season's sold out. I live right down the road from it. Oh well.
    • I'm wearing a Ballfrogs hat in my photo with Lou from the other day (and I wore it again today): This was the WORST the production and live show are going to be, and they got a lot of things right with only room to grow. I think it'll only get better (not wildly so, but incrementally). And it didn't help that it was a blowout, and yet… it was still pretty interesting. Singles was weirdly a little bit of a drag. I almost wonder if that's not a mid-season change.
    • I missed about 11 weeks of golf this summer due to a back issue, and my distance is still not recovered.  Yet my Handicap Index is 7.0, as compared to 9.1 last January.  So apparently I'm better!  TBH, I haven't improved any skills, with the possible exception of making better decisions.  Ah well, it'll be fun in the new year, as it always is.
