What does it take to become a champion golfer?

Golf is without doubt a complex game. However, much like life, golf takes a special skill set in order to excel beyond others. What exactly are those skills that distnguish champions aside from non-champions?

Probably best just to appreciate these players and not try to quantify the unquantifiable as a "skill set" .

You can go for the obvious - ability not to crack under pressure, not let bad luck distract them, focus on one shot at a time.....pretty boring cliches.

At the highest level, it seems like a "win" separates them. Seriously, it comes down to the six inches between the ears.
