i noticed alot of pro tour players are grinding there leading edges on there wedges to a square finish as opposed to the stock curved finish,is this purely for there own piece of mind or does it have another purpose, say like for spin or something, and is it worth giving it a try for mid handicappers??

I think it's due to turf interaction and how it looks more similar like an iron

Turf interaction, also alignment. If you have a rounded edge and hit a lot of shots with the face open, it seems more comfortable. If you prefer to stay square, the rounded edge can mess with your eye.

ive never lived the rounded edge, on my mizunos you can get the R for rounded or the T (i think its a T) for a squarer leading edge.
