When you say hitting it perfectly and then next all over the place, can you be a little more specific?  Without more information, the only thing I can really recommend is make sure your weight is forward and handle forward at impact.

I too struggle with hitting consistent wedge shots, but was at the practice field yesterday & put almost 2 hours on my wedges (57°F in late January in PA - had to get out).     I hit way less fat shots with the ball a bit right of center (slightly towards the rear foot) - than the commonly taught ball position of slightly left of center (shirt logo).     Was hitting proper divots about 75% of the time - slowed down my swing a bit to focus on proper ball contact & hitting the FRONT side of the ball - it's a good visual that seemed to work for me...

Well i mean i hit a good shot just as i want, then the next anything could happen, fatting it, thinning it, the ball shoooting off at crazy direction

,i just cant seem to keep hitting constantly decent hits with my wedges, P, S and Lob

The only time I play the ball that far forward, off of shirt logo, is if I am playing a steep uphill lie.  Rarely will I play a wedge an inch or two left off  center.  I prefer to play the ball off center, working back to the right instep while keeping my weight to the left.  You shouldn't really need to blast a wedge shot with a full powered swing.  For practice, start with a 1/4 swing, and keep your wrists out of it.  Try to make your follow though the same as your take away.  Then progress up to 1/2, 3/4 and eventually a full swing allowing your wrist to hinge.  By full swing, I mean a full rotation, not full power.  Just don't start lobbing the ball randomly down field either, try to have a target, increasing your distance as you progress your swing from 1/4 to full.  Also make sure you aren't trying to add loft to the ball with the club, which is what I found myself doing, as it leads to very inconsistent ball striking.   This has helped me immensely with my chipping and pitching.  I went from hating my 60LW to loving within a couple of weeks of steady practice.  It's one of my favorite clubs now, and i can even it work it a bit left and right.

An after thought......  Also make sure you are accelerating through the ball.  Slowing down for fear of knocking it too far can be another common mistake.

(edited for typos, probably more, haven't had my coffee yet )

    • I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.
    • No one in the world is as smart as Phil thinks he is.
    • Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.
