Since my final back surgery (I hope), I have slowed my swing considerably since I was fitting for my irons.  I was originally on the borderline of stiff and regular, and had S300's put in my Mizunos.  Now that I'm back out playing, I'm not swinging anywhere near as hard as I was, and my iron shots are low and right, which seems to be indicative of a shaft that's too stiff for me.  So I'm in the market to have new shafts put in my irons.

I am about 90% set on getting the Rifle 5.0 Flighted shafts as of now, but have about a week before I pull the trigger and was interested to see what you guys think about those as well as other alternatives.

Have you hit them on a monitor or on the range?  What made you choose these?

I hit them on a monitor.  I chose them because they seem to help me get the ball up higher with the long irons, something I have not been able to do since I came back to golf which is why I'm only playing 6-PW right now and using hybrids for the rest.  And with the S300's, my 6 iron doesn't get up in the air very well either.  I just don't have the swing speed to get the ball in the air with them anymore with the stiff shafts.  Mine are also 1" shorter than standard, which doesn't help either now that I can't swing 94mph anymore.

The S300 is more of a penetrating, low to mid launching shaft.

I know that, which is why now that my swing speed is slower, I am looking for new shafts.  I used to hit them just fine when I swung in the mid-90 mph range, but at 85-87mph, I'm not able to flex them anymore.
