Newbie here! I have a friend who will sell me a like new SC Squareback 2. I got measured and would probably be best with a 33" shaft. His is a 34". Does the extra inch make a big difference or can I just choke up a bit on shaft?

Is it worth sending in to SC to have it cut or replace shaft with a 33" and have weights adjusted? Can local reputable golf shop that does fitting do this? Will it adversely affect feel of putter weight quite a bit?

Appreciate help and feedback! Thanks in advance.

Any shop that works on clubs can easily cut off a putter shaft.  No weight change is needed. I'd be surprised if it cost more than $10, plus the cost of a new grip if they don't use an air compressor to take off the old one.
