I have an opportunity to pick up a complete set of these sight-unseen for under $50. I also, obviously, have no opportunity to try them either. Any one know much about these? There is very little info on the web. I'm a high handicap but I'm ambitious and optimistic about improving this year.

What I do know is they are cast, not forged, out of stainless steel. If anyone has played these before I'd love some info on them.

Theyre good irons, easy to hit.  As you already know, they are cast out of stainless, so the feel is nothing to get excited about but they are a solid set of clubs and for $50 you cant go wrong.

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
