Hey everyone,

I am new here.  Looks like a great place for information.

Well I just picked up the game again after about six years away from it.  I am in the process of replacing some of my older golf clubs and could use some help.

Currently I am playing some old TaylorMade Supersteel irons.  I hit them straight but have really lost some distance.  I would like to replace them with a new set of irons that are forgiving but also provide good distance.  I am currently a 18 to 20 handicap player, left handed and just had my swing speed tested = 92.

I have always been a big fan of TaylorMade but I have really liked some of the Cobra irons I have looked at.  The problem is not many places around here have left handed irons for me to hit.

Have any of you hit or currently play the Cobra s2 or s3 irons?  How do you like them.

I am really open to suggestions here and not stuck on any one brand.  Which irons do you think I should be looking at as I have a max price range of about 400-425.  Anything higher than that probably lands me in divorce court.

Wilson Di11. If you're looking for distance, they are definitely worth a look if you can find them. They are also in your price range easily. The only thing is they have jacked up lofts... But no big deal.

I agree...I play the Wilson Di9's and wouldn't trade them for the world! Of course you have to find what feels good to you, but don't overlook the Wilson Staff line. They are the Rodney Dangerfield of golf clubs...they just "don't get no respect"

Wilson Staff definitely a solid choice and great price points. Also check out the TM Burner 1.0's. Great club and should fit your price point. Played them for 3 seasons - forgiving and nice distance. Strong lofts help with distance if that is part of what you're looking for. Good luck.
