I'm new to the game. My buddies and I are getting too old to play basketball so competitive golf is taking over. They've been at it since they were kids, but I'm just picking up the game. My first tee shot went into the water. That's all you need to know.

Recently I bought an ebook titled 'The Simple Golf Swing' by David  Nevogt and it has helped me a lot. The main thing for me was to change from baseball swing mechanics to golf and it hasn't been easy.

But 'The Simple Golf Swing' broke things down in a way that I can understand.

If anyone here has any tips to help me please feel free to offer. I don't expect to make the tour anytime soon, but would like to at least be competitive with my friends.

Thanks in advance.

That's a good thing. It means you hit it.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

LOL! Thanks. I hit it all right. Missed a few after that. My best shot that day was a slice that hit a tree and bounced back onto the green. I blamed it on my friends outdated clubs.
