I didn't think it had been that long until I thought about it. Then I was like, damn it's been 6 months since I've hit balls. To make a long story short, I've been busy as hell. But I digress....

I start out hitting some balls, they're all going to the right and I'm hitting them thin. So I bend forward a bit, and I'm suddenly hitting my 5-PW really nicely. With my 3 and 4 iron, not so much. I'm hitting them incredibly fat. I tried straightening up just a tad, or what felt like a tad, then I start pushing them again. I'm used to hitting those clubs really well, but today I just couldn't find that happy medium. Perhaps I was standing too close to the ball?

What's your inclination and ball placement (feel)like for your long irons/3wood?

i had this last sunday,...striping my short and mid irons but thenr andomly started fatting my wedges and long irons,....im pretty confident the length of club dictates my posture so will be looking at ball position being to far forward,...

the low point of my swing is quite predictable, hence my thought of ball position

to far awy/to close only seems to affect my direction left or right, not fat or thin
