Lately I've been hitting my irons rather poorly. Which can be frustrating because right now I'm playing Ping G10 irons and I'm about a 4 or 5 handicap. I don't have a video I can upload right now but I think my main issue is the fact I have a steep swing (I'm fairly upright at the top but still not a bad position). When I come down into the ball with my irons I tend to come out to in because I hit a lot of straight pulls and cut shots. Anyone have any tips or drills I can do to become a better iron player? I should also note that I do typically hit the ball first (divot comes after the ball) and my bad misses tend to be thin shots.

FYI When I say more "upright" that is the feel I have and have had for years. I'll post video when I'm able to record my swing.
