Scotty Cameron do great putters as do many other companies

Treat yourselves to a putting lesson with a qualified PGA pro who specialises in putting coaching and I guarantee that most of you will drop two to three shots a round in a flash (cameron or spalding being in the bag)

The fact is guys like David Mills, Dave Billings, and Byron Morgan are making better quality putters with the same attention to detail Scotty puts into his Tour putters for less than Scotty's retail models.

Let's not get into it again, gas_can. That's not a fact - it's your opinion. One you're entitled to, but you're not entitled to label it a fact.

This thread is funny. If anything in golf is personal preference it has got to be putters. Everybody is different, whether it's a Spalding special, a blade, a spaceship on the end of the stick, the best putter is whatever gets it in the hole. Heck some people still use a bullseye. Personally I suck at mini golf because I can't use those damn things. I think the debate has turned into what company is the best. All top name brands made high quality equipment. I've always viewed Cameron's as the best but that doesn't mean they are for everyone. A great example is the White Hot's with the insert. They have a much different feel. However, I'm not sure how you can ignore:

1. Tour use
2. Market demand
3. consumer reviews

I don't have any data readily available but I'm pretty sure Scotty Cameron would be #1 in all 3. Are they expensive.... well at $300, yep they are. But keep in mind that most name brand's top of the line putter is going to be in the $200-something range these days so the difference isn't as much as you think. What I really don't understand is the same people who shell out $400 for a new driver say $300 is out of the question for a putter. I don't get that. Golf is about having fun, improving your score is all about short game, and who am I to say you shouldn't spend the money on the club you are going to use the most.

Personally I'd like to have a Cameron. I got a good deal on my NC Milled Series putter and couldn't justify the extra $165. And I don't have the extra $300 floating around now. Of course I'd never spend $400 on a new driver either.

This thread could have ended 2 weeks ago when someone said they are worth it if you are willing to spend it. And last I checked Titleist isn't having a hard time moving these things. I mean, if you buy a Cameron you have determined it's worth the money. I don't think you're going to get it and after using it think it's a piece of crap. I don't think many new Cameron owners are looking for new buyers... if you know of any can you let me know?

And on that note, we'll close it up.
