I did a search on Hot Stix here and only found a little bit of info. Has anyone here been through a fitting from Hot Stix? If so, what did you think? Did it make any difference in your game? How much more would a set of irons cost (or other clubs) cost in comparison to someplace else?

My game isn't good enough that I can justify a fitting like that. At least not yet. But I have seen different pieces written about them and I am curious what real people think.

The Hot Stixx program is only as good as the people that run it....

The whole thing is misleading...you get "reviewed" and told which (of the items the store has in stock) is perfect for you...but the people testing are not fitters...they go by what the computer says and don't take into account things like if the player is delofting the club because they play in wind conditions...need more loft due to grounds or lack of humidity...etc.

Bottom line, it's a gimmick.

Are you referring to Hot Stix golf in Arizona or some of their affiliate programs? And have you been to either?

Oh no! The one in AZ is TOP-NOTCH completely!

As were the earlier locations (I believe the original 16)? But once they started franchising out the equipment, it became only as good as the people operating the equipment. Perfect case in point is the local one here is being run by kids...who know absolutely nothing about fitting. We had a friends, friend go in for a fitting...bear in mind he's a 2 hdcp, from Texas who delofts everything and hits low stinger like shots...he's deadly accurate...and long. He was told that even though his ball speed was high "the machine" recommended ladies or senir flex shafts in his irons! It was pointed out to the kid that the guy has theball even with his back foot and he's INTENTIONALLY delofting the ball. The concept went right over the kids head and repeated: "I don't know what to tell ya...but i gotta do what the machine says". Crazy, huh?
