Hi all. I live in a golfing mecca in SoCal but never picked it up till just now after I enrolled my sons in the First Tee program. I love it and should have picked it up sooner but better late than never. I'm still doing the driving range bit with pointers given by friends and hope to hit the course very soon.

Welcome to the site... I live in the valley as well (La Quinta). If you got any questions about where to play out here shoot me a pm or something. Lot's of great deals, especially this time of year.

Hello All, I love that area and will hopefully be back in Sept/Oct when the overseeding and heat makes the cost cheap.

Are there are new courses that I should check out since my last trips back in 06-08? I've played all of the PGA West

courses private and public, Indian Wells Celebrity (a lot of fun), Silver Rock, The Classic Club, Trilogy, Mission Hills Gary Player,

Shadow Ridge. To be honest I've changed my driver twice since I was last there so it wouldn't be a bad thing to play

them all again! Here and Scottsdale are like paradise to us in the UK !

Very excited to see how many people here are in the desert. I'm moving to So Cal later this week and hope to spend a few weekends this summer out in the Palm Springs area.
