This started happening to me allot, and my problem was... As my swing got better, I was sweeping closer to the ground, and I had my ball tee'd up way to high. Maybe lower your tee a bit.

Same for me. I sometimes come in to steep and hit the ball with the crown leaving a nice white scar on my driver. (One reason I'm reluctant to buy an expensive driver).

Teeing it lower helps me (and I never tee'd it any higher than 1/3rd  of the ball above the clubface at address in the first place.
