The Golf Channel will broadcast one of its periodic shows on this topic tonight at 9 pm Eastern (6 pm Pacific) and again at midnight Eastern/ 9 pm Pacific. The shows cover some interesting topics, though by the "state of the game" they generally mean the state of the PGA tour and a little bit about the LPGA tour. Not too much about the game that the other 20M people play.

There's always something to argue about after the show is over, which is right up this forum's alley.
