A local sporting goods store has the MAC Ion Putter for $39.99... But, when I searched for this type of putter the first site that comes up has them for $169.99... Here is a link: http://www.golfstockpile.com/index.a...OD&ProdID;=2495

I am probably going to get a new putter this Summer and I plan on trying out quite a few, this just caught my eye because the price difference is pretty crazy... So would this be a high quality putter? Here is the link to the "cheaper" one: http://www.sportchek.ca/sportchek/do...&styleId;=28118

Thanks!

i've tried burrows as a cheap alternative but they turned out to be nasty crap
waste of money big time. on the other hand the drivers seem to come in very nice shafts. i purchased one with a Fujikura vista tour series 60 shaft for $50 and just had the shaft put on an r580

if you want a name brand putter for cheap Edwin Watts Golf's used department has very good prices

Hi

I don't know about the putters, but the fairway woods are great. I think a lot of their equipment is available for great discounts. I've got the 3 and 5 wood and can hit them both very well - straight and long for me, whether off the tee or not. My Dad picked them up at www.rockbottomgolf.com last fall for (I think) $30 each and said the shipping wasn't too expensive to Canada. He also picked up a set of Burrows wedges that my brother has - I'm not sure if he likes them (he's probably only used them a few times. I'll probably get the wedges myself - I think they're also around $30 each at rockbottom. I think you probably can't go wrong getting the putter at that price.
I love this stuff, great cheap equipment. The wedges are the best though.

Howdy. I'm a bit of a noob to the site, but I build clubs as a hobby and I can confirm that they MAC wedges are very nice for the price.

$3 ea/ @ golfsmtih. I built one last week or so for a friend who wanted a different "feel", paired them with a rifle shaft and a lamkin midsize and he loves it.

Can't speak to thier irons.

Alas, the company folded. All they really had was a neat driver which was more of a gimmck to me (I never saw any major improvement in distance or accuracy with it) and some nice wedges.

What they did have was a very cool fitting system that turned out to be worth more then their head designs.

Given that you can get a set of wedges for close to $30, it's a pretty good deal and at least worth trying to see if you like them and if not they're easy to pass on to a friend/son.
