I have been having trouble lately with releasing the club and squaring the clubface. The other day I started hitting my clubs better but was not really consistent. I had the idea today to try to loosen up my hands and not worry about them during the swing and square my forearms in order to square the clubface. It was great and was hitting so much straighter.

Has anyone heard of this before? tried it? anything? this may even help you square the clubface better.

After a bad tee shot it does not mean the hole is over, it means you have an opportunity to show what you are made of!

I do pretty much exactly that. I don't release my hands so much as feeling the rotation/release in my left forearm. Keeps me from getting too handsy.....

Yeah I felt like it was to hard for every swing to get your hands square like they say, but when my forearms are square my hands are anyway. It seems easier to me at least.

Once my wrists are set at the top, it feels like I just hold that position into the finish.  They unhinge, of course, but it doesn't feel like it to me.  I don't open the face on the way back so there is no need to square it on the way down.  Just hinge it square, set it, then swing through.  As far as forearms, I like to feel like you could put a plate horizontal on my forearms at 3 o clock and 9 o clock.

    • Has Scottie been losing his footing on shots today or is this something he does regularly?
    • How many times does Cameron Young get his big misses to kick out into the fairway this week? Burns at #2:  his second was a penalty (unplayable), punched out, missed his fourth long.   (I asked earlier and now I know, so I'm posting in case anyone else had the question)
    • I was watching a Tiger highlight reel earlier today;  all his eagles at the Masters (all were at par-5s, except one at #14). That and this got me to thinking, what would a Sergio Garcia career highlight reel consist of?  Destroyed tee boxes, damaged tee markers, yelling at rules officials, and spitting in at least one cup. I didn't see Sam Burns's second through fourth shots at #2.  How did he end up off the green for his fifth?
    • Would he be the first winner of the Masters to be banned from Augusta!  Also, come on Sergio, you are a 46 year old over the hill golfer. Go get your Saudi paycheck and chill. You are not that good anymore to get that upset. Go enjoy your "retirement" in LIV.
    • I think this is what you are talking about him doing? Close enough? It could have changed a bit, or maybe he added an extra piece to it, so it might not look exactly the same as this.  Note, this is from 5 years ago, so it is something is just has to always do.
