Me and 11 other of golf buddies from around the country are getting together and playing in a Ryder Cup format style game.

2 captains, 6 person teams. We are going to a course called Humber Valley Country Club ( http://humbervalley.com/?page_id=16 ) and playing 18 holes with 2 person best ball format, then later on in the afternoon we are going to my home course Harmon Seaside Links ( http://www.harmonseasidelinks.com/ ) for 18 holes with alternate shot.

All in all, should make for a great day and I was just wondering if anyone else here has done something like this with their golf friends. I should also mention we have players of all calibers playing, a few scratch players, 6-10 HCP, etc.

Pictures to follow tomorrow!

My family does it every year and it's always a blast but we do 72 holes over 2 days. We do better ball, stableford, four ball, and individual match play. We used to do alternate shot but if someone was a having a terrible day it just wasn't enjoyable for both players so we decided it was better to change to stableford.
