I had a friend video my drive finally to check my head movement (I've been slightly hooking the ball recently). Is it normal for my head to move during the swing but come back to original location on impact?

No it is not normal or recommended.

Here is the video, sorry for the terrible iPhone quality.  I'm also using a Regular flex driver, but after watching this in slow motion I think I may need to move up to stiff because there seems to be a lot of bend.  Any suggestions?

What happens is that if you move your head you will have to make compensations to hit the ground at the right spot and most definitly you will hit the ball inconsistently. If the head move backwards during downswing the lowpoint of the arc the clubhead is travelling on move backwards and you will be more likely to hit a fat shot, if the opposite occours you will move the lowpoint further forward and you will lose loft contact will be better but the ballflight will be lower. Steady head is one of the most important things in golf I would say.

See this thread regarding your shaft. You may or may not need to change it but what you're seeing isn't real.

    • Day 329 - More full swings, focusing on the finish. Started with half swings, finished with full swings.
    • Day 146: mirror work again. Working on the same backswing stuff.
    • Didn’t get back to a decent routine in November and December as planned.  I really need to get up earlier and get to the 7 am CrossFit class… but I’m too tired. Right now getting in 3 times a week. Going to get some swing speed exercises in too.  January-April should be Monday - Friday, load up on supplements too.
    • “The stuff legends are made of…” 😁 As long as OEM’s keep replacing them…. But if it cracks 2 years in, you’re screwed on the warranty. the Cobra Dark Speed driver gets rave reviews.  Haven’t heard of breakage issues.  Taylormade now came out with the Qi35 heads.  Absolutely stunning but it’s a carbon fiber sole as well as the face and crown.  I guess we’ll see.
