Golfingscrub... Here are some things that I noticed with your swing...

A1. Your address - I actually like a lot.  You're in a great position at Address from what I can see.

A2. Your club path on the takeaway is outside.  Your shaft is not parallel to your stance line - and you can see the shaft isn't parallel to your alignment sticks.  You gotta get your clubface/shaft more inside - bring your left arm tight across your chest.  Maintaining pressure under your left armpit as your right hand pulls the left arm across the chest.

A3. You're club is very vertical - and actually looks decent here.  Might be a touch steep - and could be a little more on plane - but not terrible.  I think if you clean up A2 - and get your hands more inside your takeaway line - this will help your club get on plane at A3 moreso.

A4.  Ok - this is where you have a chicken wing.  You gotta get that Right elbow and tricep closer to the torso.  You should work on your right arm fold.

Overall - from A1 to A4 - the biggest flaw that I see is that you are standing up in your backswing.  You can see in the frames that I marked-up... Your spine angle at address looks solid.  But as you take the club back - your begin to stand up or lose your spine angle.  This is a big 'no-no'.  Don't do this.  You will hit shots thin and fat when you do this as you are changing your swing arc and moving your low point.  You can't have consistent contact if you stand up.  You legs (Pivot) looks pretty good.  But maintain that waist bend.

Watch this video to get your backswing on plane.

    • Day 323 - Opposite of yesterday, focusing more on taking a full backswing than anything else.
    • Day 139: worked on putting for a while. Did the two cups drill for bead.
    • It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place.  This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make.  What set would you guys use? 1.  Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets.  I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up.  Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box.  Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them.  Have used a set in the past and loved them.  Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips.  These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….
    • Day 215 (3 Dec 24) - Another very chilly day - opted to work on easy pitches in the backyard. Worked thru the irons and wedges - focused on foot position and tempo.
