I like it a lot more. I find:

a) it's easier to get to a ball on a tight lie b) it's got a better feel and sound c) it's easier to control ball height (specifically lower) d) it's easier to work the ball left and right e) it looks better at address

People keep saying that this is a difficult hybrid to use and when I tried it on demo day at a driving range it wasn't really that much more difficult than TM Rescue Dual TP. In fact I liked it that it was half inch shorter @ 40.5". How does it perform on actual grass? (I only hit it on the range met) As I am going down in handicap, I am looking more for accuracy rather than mind blowing distance. How does the stock NV perform with this head? Would you recommend it to someone, lets say me, who is playing in the mid 80s but trying to get into the 70s region?

It depends. I think it's a perfect hybrid for someone who wants control over their shot. You can play it like a wood or an iron. You can manipulate it.

I've hit it from a variety of lies, and what I said above still holds true - it plays a little better than the TM from a variety of lies. I've hit it off hardpan (hit down a little more), I've played it out of the fluff (try to almost blade it so you don't go under it), etc. I haven't seen your swing, but if your handicap index is 12 and you're on a steady path to improvement, I think the club would work well for you, particularly if you like to play "shots." If you just want a club that'll do the same thing every time, get the TM Rescue. I have the UST ProForce V2 (hybrid shaft, obviously) in it. I have the same line of shafts in my 3W and driver. I love it in the hybrid. The NV, I felt, hit the ball just a little too low. I've never liked the NV. Plus, as a Pittsburgh sports fan, the UST ProForce V2 is black, white, and gold.

I am undecided between an Adam's Idea Pro and a Cobra Baffler DWS Pro... anyone have either of these?

I have the Adams Pro series hybrid 3 and 4. They are great. I like the no offset and the Aldila Proto shaft.

I recently traded my Dual TP in for the Adams Idea Pro. It plays much more like an iron than the TM. Sound, feel and visuals are awesome. The ball flight is a bit on the high side, but I can live with it given how easy it is to hit. Also, while it flies high, I don't tend to balloon it. It's the best hybrid I've tried and I've hit just about all, save the Nickent 4DX.

    • @Philip Belgium,  If I haven't already, Welcome to TST.  Your injury sounds serious and I hope you fully recover.   Thanks for sharing your story.  ..... each day get 1-2% better.   (A ray of sunshine and a positive outlook)
    • Day 91 (1  Aug 25) - Pre-tournament practice round today…had some great up and downs for par saves.  Rain came in this evening so it will be a totally different playing course tomorrow.
    • Jesus, when he keeps saying scissoring moment, ugh that is a horrible sounding phrase. Just makes me cringe. It doesn't help my mind went to Mr. Garrison from South Park. 🤣 If you know you know.  I think for the most part, golf shaft companies have gotten this figured out. They ask questions like, what tempo do you swing at. The whole scissor terminology sounds like they want to stand out a bit.  Yea, golfers load the golf shaft differently, and different bend profiles can help out. I do think swing speed matters as well. You probably want a golf shaft with lower torque if you swing faster.
    • Played 9 holes, shot a 39.  Kind of got around. Everything between the trees, so in play. Short game was rusty. Got to get back on that. Greens were stupidly slow because they got a lot of rain yesterday and probably couldn't cut them down. Usually in the summer they are firm and pretty fast for how sloped they are. Got to work on face to path a bit.
    • We agree here. Top of the car has a forward force, bottom of the car experiences a backward force via the braking. Both about the COM (somewhere in between). Result is a rotational flip. Since the forward force is still higher the car probably still globally travels forward. Sure, pretty basic. You really think there are deliberate twist forces applied? Like forcing the club head forward and simultaneously forcing grip end in the opposite direction? Heck I don't think we even slow down the grip end deliberately let alone force it the other way. Sorry, if I am missing something here. The orientation change is simple incidental because there is different rate of global movement of grip vs. clubhead throughout the swing. I also happen to think the best swings have the least amount of differential movement between the two end in the impact zone.  In my defense, I never thought one could do justice in covering all aspects of a golf swing in a paragraphs or two to begin with. Especially not with grade school physics..😜 Okay.
