Grip

I have really large hands and have a hard time keeping the grip in the fingers....can someone give me an outline on how to really grip the club....

You may simply need to go with bigger grips.  Jumbo might be right for you.

You know what they say about guys with big hands...  umm, they need to get bigger grips on their golf clubs

I struggle with this too, I have to make a conscious effort every time or else the club slips back into my palm.  Even when I have a proper grip, sometimes my fingers wrap around and dig into the pad of my hand.  I don't think I have extra big hands, just tiny grips.  My wedges are the only ones with larger grips and I like it a lot better.

I'm a big guy and wear an xl or xxl glove and hooked every shot I hit with standard grips. Also struggled to find a comfortable hand position. Sizing charts recommended midsize grips but those felt too small too. Got some Winn dritac jumbo grips and the problem was mostly solved. The guy even said I should consider adding a couple wraps of tape ... but you can't use those Winn grips with tape apparently. Golf is hard enough. Get equipment that fits you.

I have big hands and thought getting jumbo grips would help, but I found out that it wasn't the size of the golf grip, but my grip on the club with my hands that was the problem, especially the left hand.  I made sure to get the heal pad of my left hand on top of the grip and it felt very comfortable and very powerful, like is won't move around during my swing.  I have regular size grips now with an extra piece of tape, that is it.  I like the feeling of smaller grips now, and it feels easier to control the club with regular size grips.
