Just got one used off ebay for $114 shipped to replace my old Knight Connexion starter set driver, and to go with the G15 Irons (and hat, lol) that I already have.

Reading great reviews about it. Does it sound like I got a good deal? I think it's good.

The only issue that I have heard are that some folks are not satisfied with the stock shaft. I got the stock TFC 149 in regular flex.  Some say that it's too soft or whippy. I have pretty slow swing speed. (Not sure of my number, but my carry is like 190, haha..) So I think I'll be OK there.

Anyone have anything bad to say about this club? I ask because all I have heard are rave reviews, excepting the above.

I'm amped to swing it, and I'll throw down a review once I hit it next weekend.

Hit em' straight!

Ben

I play a G15, and it's an awesome driver. Forgiving and distance is excellent. Enjoy it. I did change the shaft, but mainly because I bought it with a reg flex, and I went to a stiff shaft, not because there was a particular problem with the stock shaft.

I just picked up a G15 off my friend just about a month ago.  Originally demo'd the stiff TFC stock and didn't like it.  But tried out my friend's with the stiff Aldila Serrano and fell in love.  Was going to buy one used on ebay until he decided to sell it (he replaced it with an i20).

I love the club!  Hope you have as much success with your's as I've had with mine over the past month!

Got mine with the Serrano stiff shaft and I like it very much - it was much better for me on the launch monitor.  Sweet driver that just cannot get kicked out of my bag.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
