I hit the range almost every day and play about once a week. Well, I had a friend that is a really good golfer, around a 7 handicap, that just broke his wrist and he was helping me out almost every day. Well since the break he really cant show me and it is a little harder to get him out. He had me swinging about a 3/4 swing with no wrist. Well, today I decided I wanted to change it to the full. I was hitting the ball pretty cleanly with the 3/4 and straight but all hell as I expected has come apart since the change. The ball goes is slicing. All of this was expected. But, when I do hit one clean i hit it further then I have ever had before. I think I cranked one about 275 with my driver and a 3 wood off the deck about 220. That probably only happened a few times but it happened. He says my problems are that I'm not bring the club straight back and then the club is on a weird plane at the end of my back swing that he says I'm so far cockeyed that it is impossible for me to turn my body on the ball. So, he is usually a great teacher but now he has no idea what to tell me, he just cant put it in words that I can do what he says. I guess this was a long post for me to ask is it time for a lesson? LOL IM SORRY.

IMO...talk to a pro or even film your swing and put it on the forum. I personally feel like you need to not think about the wrist action so much, concentrate on tempo and shoulder and hip turn.

some how I shot a 41 today. No idea how except for a badly hit iron shot that rolled 1 foot from the pin almost giving me a hole in one but instead my very first birdie.

    • Day 58: night putting session for about an hour. Started with lag putting and ended with putts inside 9’. I need to work on putts from 6-12’, but in a solid spot overall.
    • Birdied a different #6 today (incidentally, also a par-5, but not the same one on which I previously birdied).  Here's the funny thing though:  it's the par-5 that caused me to post my "how do I avoid bogeys?" on par-5s recently.  So I guess I still haven't parred that hole.
    • Day 20, May 24.  Played 18 today, very poor ball driving.  One GIR, and it was a 4-wood from the rough.  Several other instances of hitting a green on a full swing (and at least one full swing motion -- a 50% UW) that wasn't for GIR.   Still shot an 87 and even had a birdie (chip-in).
    • Welcome to TST.  I spent a bit of time in the UK but I had to look up Wagon Wheels.  Don't think I ever saw them.  Had to Google to see.  Couple similar items in US but Google says they are different. 😁
    • Day 264 5-24 Worked on getting chest through and arms down infront of chest. Contact isn't great yet but on video looking better.
