Which shoe, Adidas 4.0 or footjoy dryjoy?

Hey people

I am about to buy a new pair of golf shoes. I have narrowed my choice down to Footjoy dryjoy tour or Adidas powerband 4.0. I am open to other suggestions but i am wanting to spend around $90-100USD so which of these do you think is best.

They are your feet so its your choice.

Try them both on in the shop and see which is the better fit and most comfortable. Take a little walk around.

FWIW, I just got a new pair of Footjoy Softjoys yesterday. Before I took them I tried Hi-Tec, Nike and Adidas, none of which suited me for a variety of reasons.

i'm ordering on line so not really an option unfortunately.

Do you think the footjoys are a superior product to the adidas or brands like adidas and footjoy are pretty equal?

I have just had a pair of callaway and will never buy them again, they fell apart a little over a year after purchase.

I walk alot and the Adidas shoes are not comfortable at all. Their achilles area wears out quicker than any other brand shoe I have used.  I currently wear some Nike shoes that look like tennis shoes and they are much more comfortable.

My first golf shoe I wore was a footjoy and it was fine.  Actually, I am thinking seriously about getting a new pair next year and leaning toward a footjoy.

IMHO, it's really a matter of person choice, that being said, I walk a lot and I've gone exclusively with spikeless shoes.  The Footjoy Contour Casual are what fit me the best.  I'll be getting another pair in the off season.

I've had FootJoy shoes before and they weren't bad... the one pair of Adidas I had I didn't like, but they were a really cheap pair.

To be perfectly honest though, I wouldn't recommend either one... TRUE linkswear shoes are by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever had and they are better for your feet. They have shoes right in your price range right off of their site and they have great customer service should you get the wrong size or something like that. If you look around online, you can find some really good deals on them as well.

Good luck. Adidas always seem too narrow. Had really good luck with Dry Joys (or were they Green Joys?). A great shoe for the money, IF THEY FIT!!

FootJoy Sports if you're going with a "traditional" golf shoe. If you pay attention, you'll notice it's the most common shoe on tour. I agree that some of the non-traditional options are superior though, such as True Tours.

They would be the most common in my club also if we got them for free like the Pros!

      It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.

      It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
