Yesterday, I posted about getting a Tour Edge XCG3 Driver and Fairway Wood... I know a lot of you guys play bigger OEMs like Callaway, Titleist, TaylorMade, etc... I looked into the CB3 Tour line of Drivers and Fairway Woods and they look more appealing to me than the XCG3...

Basically, I'm thinking about going with the 9 degree Driver and a 13 degree 3-wood, 15 degree 3-wood or the 16.5 4-wood... I still carry a 2-iron and I'm old school as heck (though the lofts on my irons are weak)...

I've also been looking into the TaylorMade Burner 3.0 driver... Hit a few demos and it seems like I hit it about the same as my old Driver... though I'm looking for a more penetrating ball flight... and the Burner kind of balloons a little bit...

Should I go with the TaylorMade or would I be just as well served with the Tour Edge...

You can't go wrong with Tour Edge. The original CB & CB2 fwys are some of the longest known to Man. I shit you not.

Tour Edge is a smaller club mfgr that does its own research and development work.

I played the Tour Edge Bazooka betaTi fairway woods (14* 3W and 19* 5W) from 2002 through 2008. Low-profile woods that delivered a hot ball with a draw, and a softer ball with a fade.

Switched them out when I went from stiff back to regular shafts.

      Down the line and face on from today. Still feeling like I’m sticking the club into a hole in the ceiling above my right shoulder and then big loop inside to start downswing. That’s how it feels. Not how it looks though! Gotta keep working on this for a bit but I see a lot of progress. 😁

      Day 5 (13 Mar 26) - Friday shootout cancelled- made it a practice round working from mixed tees. Plenty of up and down work around greens.  Best was a hole out birdie on the par 3 #5 hole - nice pitch and roll w/Pw from about 10yds off the green - dead center flagstick drop.  Much of round was focused on getting solid weight shift into lead foot.

      Day 208 3-13 Worked on wrist arching and flow. First time hitting reall balls at a range in months. It was nice to see ball flight. Still not sure it beats my backyard practice station.

      Three hole match - microphones on in the cart. It's fascinating listening to them talk about their shots and how they play them. I'm not normally a huge fan of the TM videos - they seem forced to me - but this one doesn't. It's also fun seeing their competitiveness over what on the face of it is a fairly meaningless 3 holes, but they can't help themselves.
