A face-on video would help, but…

I'd work on the way the right elbow works on the backswing:

To clean up this picture (your right elbow begins immediately working around your body):

And then to clean up this picture (your eyes are almost over the ball  so you HAVE to early extend a bit to shallow the club).

Thanks a million for taking the time Iacas,

There is a face on view in my long post from earlier.

(Having trouble converting it and getting it onto youtube :8) )

Here it is if you missed it

Face On

I was surprised how "unsteady" my head was, it's the first time seeing it face on for me.

Would images captured with an iPhone suffice for online tutorial with 5SK?

It's not bad. But your Key #1 stuff should improve too. I'm not sure if I'd prioritize it above what I wrote above. Possibly. I'd love to see a few more videos though, shot from good angles with some lighting (you can't even see the shaft blur in the DL video).

Yes, particularly if they were shot with an iPhone 5S at 120 FPS. :) Or a regular iPhone in good lighting…

Ok, going to get to the range over the next few days and get some decent videos up.

Have been working on moving a little bit back from the ball and really working on sorting out that right elbow.

Whatever I have been doing, it has translated to the best golf I've played to date.

Played an Open Competition in The European Club last week and I finished with 36 points, that was enough to finish the competition in 3rd spot!!!

First ever placing in a competition, it was the start of our handicap season too, so I've started as I mean to go on, down from 17.2 -> 16.9

Got off to a horrible start but really turned it around from the 7th tee onwards.

Delighted with it, a very tough course and makes all the winter work seem worthwhile.

Swings vids to follow over the coming days

Well, it has taken some time but I upgraded my phone and managed to get a few videos Erik.

I'm guessing priority piece number 1 will be to work on the legs... they're very pale, we don't get much sun over here :-D

I would be very interested to see what you think, first 2 videos are SW, third is 7i.

    • Day 292: light day today. Mirror work, working on getting my hips more open in the downswing.
    • Day 135 (27 Apr 24) - played Bradford Creek today while waiting for the missus fly in from her extended visit with the grands.  Good day to stay focused as it was a hurry up (groups pressing from behind) and wait (groups taking their time ahead)…a good day to stay mentally in the game - play the shot and not get frustrated in the waiting…
    • Day 122: 4/27/24 Supposed to be a Stack training day but I was beat after yard work today. Practiced chipping and putting at The Creek. The practice green is pretty slow but the session went well.
    • Went to the range today and was cursing myself when I got there as I realized I forgot my phone. I added an earlier wrist hinge to the short backswing I was using last time practicing and ball strikes were really good for the most part. I'm heading back to Boston Thursday to see friends and family and have a couple of rounds planned so I'm hoping to keep this feeling.  Yesterday morning I weighed in at 232. My goal had been 230 but maybe now it's 220. I'll have to think about that. I feel so much better without the extra 90 lbs. from 2 years ago. Still a softl slightly less protruding belly so it might be time to go hard on eating better. Work in progress.
    • Day 7- Went to the range and hit a bucket. Also did some chipping and putting.
