For the love of God when is the Golf Channel going to stop showing repeats of the Big Break 3? We get it, Danielle won, it's over and (probably) so is her short lives LPGA career. Give it a rest all ready. It's like Queer Eye for the Straight Guy or West Wing on Bravo or Law and Order (any version) on TNT. Everytime you turn around it on. I bet between Big Break 3, all versions of Law and Order, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and The West Wing, that you could constan;y watvh those shows for 24 hrs a day, 18hrs at least.

Can't the Golf Channel run some highlight reeels from the 1979 Masters or US Open? They seem pretty fond of Tiger, show some of his highlights. Anything but the Big Break 3 for the 2,554,651,685,532,549,986,498,521,359,721,138,543,521,545,846,913 time.
Please I beg you, I would rather watch Tom Nettles interview anyone than sit through another episode of the Big Break 3.

The Natalie Gublis Reality Show?

I agree. I have had my fill of ol' Danni Girl! I tried to watch the "Danni Special" with no luck...she is more annoying than these repeated threads about how annoying she is!

Off topic: I watched the final match of Big Break II (missed it before). It was much more exciting than the BBIII match from a strictly golf perspective. I remember not liking Double-D but after watching the finale you could really see how much it meant to him. What really surprised me was that the in-studio "extra" prize (1 exemption, I think) went to Bart! They really should have given that to Double-D....similar reaction to the BBIII finale when Pam appeared to get absolutely nothing. That show has some strange prize policies.

The "extra" prize was automatic invite for the next (male) Big Break. I think the reason was the fact, that Bart won all skills challange but one, during the eliminations - he was always the exempt player -> the best player?

Losing a 3-hole match play... hm.... with just a little bit of luck I could beat Tiger on 3 hole matchplay . Of course more you play, less likely weaker player will win, but on 3 holes? I guess the organizers realized, that Bart was the best and missed out by one lucky shot by Skip (stuck the 9i to 2 ft). Pam should get an award though, I agree. I propose a book on golf etiquette and proper gamesmanship

Hey...I was watching TGC yesterday, and during one of the commercials for the Mcdonalds next week, it showed Cindy Miller from the Big Break 3, as if she was going to play.. Has anybody else seen this? Was I just having a "moment" or is she really going to play? In a major? later

    • Day 280 6-9 low point control, practice missing towel. No ball, started to get the hang of hitting way in front of towel. Going to keep at it.
    • Day 9 - (9 Jun 26) - Weekly nine hole session with my good friend, I played again from one set of tees up from my usual (set up the bag 4h, 6i-Pw, Gw, Lw) to focus more on iron play in the approaches (esp longer ones on the 4's and 5's).  Used the hybrid for tee shots only, had to play irons in from there on....made for a great work on course management and dealing with iron shots I normally don't see.  Key focus was on keeping ball in play, playing to distances that set up for either GiR or nGiR's.  Played a split nine (5 on the front, 4 on the back - the turn works nicely as both nines turn and run parallel coming in - easy to jump from 5 to 15 (especially when the course is not busy)).  Worked with my friend on his course management skills - offering thoughts as a "caddie" might and helping him to confidently choose and execute the shot he was seeing.
    • Interesting that you post this - was playing today with my good friend in our typical weekly nine-hole round.  He has a lot of chatter in his mind, most of the time, yet today was much improved.  Yes, he went through a number of swing thoughts (like the ones highlighted), but then you could almost hear the switch click off - it was like when I shot the distance, and said its "X yards", he confidently said "this club should cover that..." and made his shot most of which were nicely rewarded.   Came away shooting one of his best nine-hole rounds ever.  For me, I do have thoughts  - not in terms of negotion but rather evaluation.  What is the wind doing?  Is there trouble - left, right, middle - not that I am a great fader or drawer of the ball?  Where is the better landing spot/zone?  What is my target window and what in the distance helps me see it?  I wonder if the "negotiation" is more about not understanding "typical distance for a given club (carry and roll)" and more about remembering how that flushed 5i that went and went or how the 4i that can get there with but not reliably or accurately.
    • God I hate when golf can’t give me n+1 day of success. Drives me up the wall when my body is, FU! Im like, ok let’s check the vid. Yep too much turn, arms getting behind me. Ok, I work on that. Get the feel back for a shorter swing. Confirm with video. Then going back to arms down stuff.  Arms down, nope it’s hands out towards the ball. Oh, you get arms down better. Guess what, you don’t get to rotate and you hit 6 inches behind the ball. Yay!  Maybe I should have walked off the range and not wasted my time. I wish there was a body alert system when it’s going to a SOB for the day. 😭 OK rant over, I’ll be back at this tomorrow.
