I have a set of Taylormade Burner 2.0's.  I'm new to golf.

I am trying to put together a complete Burner 2.0 set and only need the Sand Wedge.

My Question:  Can I buy a Ladie's graphite sand wedge and pull the head and put it onto a stiff steel shaft and will it be the same as if I were to purchase a Men's stiff steel sand wedge?

Ladie's clubs are all over the place and cheap and I cannot find a decent 2.0 men's wedge (that matches).  I hope this makes sense, but from the look of things anything lower than a pitch wedge are pretty much the same as far as the head goes.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.  I am driving myself nuts trying to find the "proper" club to complete my set.

It seems like a lot to go through just to get a matching SW, and I'm not sure it would be, it depends on the loft and weight. A SW is usually 56* degrees, you should confirm what your Burner is first. If the ladies SW is the same as the mens, and you replace the shaft with the same shaft as your set, it would probably work??

On another thread I said that it is best if all your wedges are of the same make and model, and I truely believe that. Instead of replacing shafts etc., it may pay to buy a set of wedges then going through all the trouble and expense of replace a shaft from a women's club. Rockbottomgolf.com always has wedges on sale cheap. I have purchased there and have never had any trouble.

Good luck.

    • A bit back at it tonight. I just wanted to add in the feel of a softer left arm through out the backswing. This helps me hinge the club. I make sure I am not bending it a ton, but not straightening it. It helps feel like I can keep the club in front of me more and lift the club up sooner.
    • If you make assumptions excessively favorable to Tiger that leave out the best arguments for Jack that most people would never use to evaluate greatness in other sports and didn't use to measure greatness in golf until Tiger got injured, then sure. Here is how Gemini rates both of them just in major output with a prompt to generously subsidize Tiger's record because of field strength. And also the answer to the question who had more longevity Jack or Tiger.  Hopefully this puts the trutherism to rest.
