How about being a bit more specific? Are you an 8? What's your ball flight? Average 7-iron distance? Desired flight?

Your sig says you're getting a Titleist hybrid soon... But yeah, more info would be needed. Without know

anything about your game, in addition to the Titleist, you could check out Adams Idea, Callaway X, and Cobra Baffler.... just three that come to mind right away.

Now I'm really confused. It says you have an 8 index? Anyways, take a look at Callaway X, Cobra Baffler, Taylor Made Rescue Dual, Cleveland Halo or Hibore. Ping makes a good one too. Of course you could always get an older model, say the Resue Mid used or on ebay for a very good price. One of the best hybrids ever. Again, I don't know much about our game but based on the info I have I'd say stay away from the Titleist.

Here is what i know about hybrids:
*Adams Idea Pro- playable, more for good players, very good overall.
Bridgestone GC- great appearance, above average forgiveness
Callaway Fusion FT- long, good feel, forgiving, very expensive.
*Callaway X- Most forgiving out there, above average appearance, playability, feel, and distance.
Cleveland HiBore- Crazy distance.
E21 EMC2- Best feel, average distance (e21golf.com in case you dont know them)
MacGregor MacTec NVG2 UT- Easy to hit, forgiving.
Nickent 3DX KC Ironwood- very playable, good distance, forgiving.
Nike Slingshot- Ok forgiveness and feel, very playable.
Ping Rapture- Very forgiving.
TM R7 Draw- does everything well but nothing great.
*TM Burner- Distance, feel, appearance, forgiveness all above average.
Titleist PT 585.H- More for low handicaps
The ones with the asterisk(*) are IMO the better hybrids out there. Try everything out.

I would definently check out the Cleveland Halo, its great, its cheap, and me and almost everyone else who has hit mine prefers it to theirs.

I've tried some hybrids (TM Rescue Mid, Cobra Baffler, Cleveland Halo, Callaway X) and have found the Adams Idea Pro to be very playable (if you don't mind the look of a smaller head). I have the 3i (20deg) and am looking to add the 2i (18 deg).

Although Im in love with my Baffler Multimetal I have hit the Bobby Jones Jessie Ortiz hybrids here in the office and man do they hit well. Great look to the club as well for those who struggle to add such ugly clubs into their bags.

    • Thanks but honestly… I don't know any other way. I don't mind being wrong so long as I know where to go from there. I don't like being wrong — I'd love to get things right (which is different than "being right"). I recommend grabbing a furniture slider or a paper plate or something, and doing something like this: First, make a swing where you let your trail foot swing out as you turn, then twist that foot back in. From DL and FO, it'll look like this: Then, during a regular backswing, try to twist your foot in slightly (demonstrated in the left image): You'll notice a crease along the trail side of your hip, your pelvis will "fold" into that thigh (internal rotation of the hip joint), and your "bits" will be squished a little between your pelvis and your thigh. Ben Hogan said once: "At the top of the back swing the groin muscle on the inside of your rt [sic] leg near your right nut will tighten," Hogan wrote. "This subtle feeling of tightness there tells you that you have made the correct move back from the ball." I don't know about that, but you will probably feel something down around that area.
    • Yep. I think it will start to feel even more athletic when we start on the downswing stuff later.  I know, it's just I want to be younger so I have more time to enjoy the changes. 🙂
    • I need to drop a couple of stone. 🙂 😛    Yep. Yeah, but in the end, it feels more athletic, like you're actually using your legs, yeah? As you know… we use the best available info we have. Like others, I was fooled a little by 2D images for awhile (moving or still). Unlike others, I've learned and grown and moved on since then, while they're still looking at their images (often from lousy camera angles).
    • Day 12 - 2025-12-31 Limited time today, and heavy rains here. 5-10 minutes of mirror work for full swing, working on trail side.
    • Day 2, 12/31/25.  Similar to yesterday (rainy, no surprise), I hit primarily 6-iron full swings with the same focus;  I also hit some chips (about 1/8 swing) with the 54.  About two dozen full swings and an equal number of short shots.  All of this was indoors, off a mat, into a net, real balls.
