Beginners tend not to lose a lot of golf balls (outside of the water or canyons or whatever) because they don't tend to hit the ball far very often.

Just looked at these on their site.

Made me wonder if they float cuz that would definitely be added value!

Unlikely. Overall density is likely the same. They'll spin less though with a higher MOI.
