I am not getting rid of my 5 wood because I hit it so good and it really helps me reach par 5s in 2. But there is a gap between my 5 wood and 4 iron and a gap between 50 wedge and 58 wedge Should I get a wedge because its more of a scoreing club? Or should I keep the 3 hybrid for out of the rough an long par 3s? My Golf clubs 9.5* Callaway Razr Fit driver 15* Callaway Razr Fit 3 wood 19* Taylormade RBZ 5 wood 21* Callaway Razr X 3 hybrid 23* cobra amp forged 4 iron 26* cobra amp forged 5 iron 29* cobra amp forged 6 iron 33* cobra amp forged 7 iron 37* cobra amp forged 8 iron 41* cobra amp forged 9 iron 45* cobra amp forged P wedge 50* cobra amp forged G wedge 58* Titleist Vokey L wedge Scotty Cameron Newport 2 putter

personally, id drop the 50* gap wedge and pick up a 52* vokey to fix the gap issue... weaken the 45* p-wedge to a 46* (bent weak) and just run with that... personal preference of course

I'd add the wedge. You could even drop your 4 iron and keep the hybrid if you like.....

I'm setting up my bag with 3 wedges @ 48/54/60, 2 woods; the driver, and strong 3, and a hybrid @ 17˚. The gap wedge was never appealing to me, I like my 3 iron, and I dislike fairway woods and hybrids enough to limit their use in my bag.

Personally I think it's the best bag setup for me. Your setup is pretty decent as is, I'd drop either the 4i or the 3h depending what you hit better, and even consider going 50/56/62 if you really want to spend your money. You're an 18 index, you don't hit your long clubs well enough to need like 10 yard gaps over 200 yards. If you're trying to be that specific on your yardages for hitting par 5s, so you don't have too long an eagle putt, think you better choke up on the 5 wood you seem to like so much.

Believe me though, you're overthinking it. That wedge is going to be useful for you, the hybrid is the same damn thing as the 5w basically. You could use your 5w all the same from rough on long holes and choke up an inch for the different yardage. See if you can even trade for a 4h if you really want an open spot, then drop the 4i and add the wedge if you wish. Remember you can swap the club out for certain courses if need be.

    • Day 252: worked on chipping for a while with my chipping net. Worked on low, medium, and high shots. Productive session.
    • Day 180 - 2025-03-29 Not a long time today, but I got my five minutes in jumping and doing some work on the downswing.
    • I’ll just stick to the basics for now - got enough to work on… this is my home practice range. The little clearing in about the center of the photo is roughly 200 yards.

    • Played Musgrove Mill today. 72.3/155. +9 for 15 official holes as 2 holes are closed, and the par 5 16th plays as a converted par 3. We played the first three holes over to finish 18, and parred 1 and2 amped bogeyed 3. The good: hit every fairway. 1 less than normal for the converted par 3, but the second time I have done that this year. My sand wedge approach on 10 after a monster drive hit the pin in the back left corner hit he pin and spun away to 9’, and I missed the putt.   The great: hit 8 GIR and 7 were inside 10’. Needs work: Missed every birdie putt. No lip-outs. Just struggled on fast greens. Three-putted the par-5 9th with the pin on the back tier and jut missed hitting my approach to the proper level and it spun all the way to the front of the green.
