With a little over 3 weeks till the masters at augusta, tiger woods coming off a win at doral and mcilroy in a slump what will unfold at augusta come april the 11th.

Tiger woods can return to number 1 by winning at bay hill in the arnold palmer invitational (which in my oppinion the whole world wants to see happen) but can he win his first major since 2008.

Mcilroy is currently in a slump although he didnt play too bad at doral himself but does he have what it takes to win his first green jacket.

Will bubba watson retain his title, will Mickelson win another or will it be an outsider to put on the jacket, one thing is for sure if on the sunday tiger woods is in contention it will make for an interesting watch especially if either mcilroy, mickelson and watson are also there aswell.

April 11th cant come quick enough but untill then we have the arnold palmer invitational and the tavistock cup to watch but the first major of the year is always a highlight in the golf calander.

Until then, keep swinging.

    • Maybe I should’ve said it but my point was there are plenty of athletes who have these issues yet continue to perform well and achieve great success.
    • I’m 3 for 3 in willing Mickelson’s ball to find the water! 13, 15 and 16!
    • As for the post bulk-up left yanks and right pushes, a few examples; In the 2016 Masters, Rory was in contention, but he missed left repeatedly with drivers and irons In the 2020 U.S.Open, Rory repeatedly missed right off the tee (yes… left was trouble, deep rough - but an example nonetheless of Rory trying to guard against the left miss) Cause of the left miss:  Stronger upper body + reduced hip mobility → reliance on arms → clubface closes early in transition → pulls left   Agree 100%.  They are just glaring examples from the highest echelon of the PGA tour.  I’m expanding on this non-unique scenario to predict that Rory won’t win the Masters because of this, and other issues.
    • I don’t know about that…your opening statement regarding Rory describes hundreds of professional athletes. Money, women, buffing up more, pressure. Hardly unique to Rory and Tiger.
    • sigh… here are some facts and evidence on the fitness point Fact:  Early career success, pre-transformation:  Rory won 4 majors between 2011-2014.   Fact:  Around 2014-2015, Rory started working heavily on strength and conditioning, significantly increasing his gymwork,  Evidence:  Rory himself has shared his intense fitness routines on social media, interviews, including heavy squats and lifts Impact:  The increased muscle mass can alter swing mechanics and timing, problematic compared to the fluidity and feel he exhibited prior to the bulking up.
